Fake it til you make it is one of the first things Fake it til you make it is one of the first things I heard when I came to Silicon Valley, California 13 years ago as a young entrepreneur. I I believed it for quite a few years until I founded Tiger & Turtle helping entrepreneurs to release stress in less than 15 minutes so they can finally enjoy work & life. Instead of faking it until making it, what became much more true for myself is to being unapologetically authentic. Instead of trying to copy teachers & founders that I adore, focusing relentlessly on finding my own superpower and secret sauce. Instead of going after what is supposed to sell & grow in market size, to take that into account but rather go slow and authentic than fast and fake. I was reminded of this quote again up in the mountains 🏔️. Years ago when skiing I would always try to go as fast and steep as anyone else, pushing myself to enjoy it instead of doing what I naturally liked. This year I skipped that :) whileas part of the group enjoyed flying down red and black slopes trying to go faster with every run they made I would find my tribe to ski - making it down all the slopes with a focus on taking in the forest and snow, rather slow as you would in a marathon instead of sprinting down to get ready for the next run. And guess what: once I listened to my own authentic voice I started to love it and take away a lot of inspiration for Tiger & Turtle and what is to come.
